So I can take the insurance check and swap a E92 (coupe) front end onto my E90. I wouldn’t do an M bumper because my 328xi is as far from M as you can get. But those headlights just look so much smoother.

I believe that requires replacing all of the front end; hood, bumper, quarter pannels, and headlights. Unless you already have the xenon lights, it is significantly expensive to swap them in; I looked when I had the 1.

Edit:

I should point out the M3 is the only E9X that shares the front facade across the model range. As well as the fact the M-Sport is only an appearance pack; the only difference between an M-Sport and an E9X with the sport pack is the body kit, and the million Ms they put everywhere.

I figured as much. It has been done tho. Not sure if the front support needs to be changed as well or just the exterior stuff.

It cost this guy about 4 grand, but that was in 2009 using some aftermarket parts. You do need the e90 M3 fenders tho as the rear portion of the fenders are different from 90 to 92. So you have to either get the M3 fenders it splice the to together. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=230783

I think it’s just body pannels, think all the underneath stuff is the same. It just seems like a lot of work to me, well mainly the headlight swap.

It all just flows so much better than the chunky e90 headlights with that weird bump on top. I’m not saying I’ll go out of my way to do it, but if something happens and I need to replace 70% I’d my front end than I’m just going to say screw ur and swap it all over to the e92 stuff

Chances are if you hit a deer, you’d risk replacing a lot more. Try a dog first, then work up to the deer.

Well I’d be replacing the bumper, both headlights, both fenders and the the hood.

The rad support should be fixable even if it gets bent. Although yeah a newer car like this risks blowing the airbags and then your goose is cooked.
